This is an excerpt from an assignment in my RHET 401 “Teaching and Tutoring Writing Across the Disciplines” course. My instructors felt it was worthy of sharing on the class website. It involves the Ignation concept of cura personalis (Latin) or care for the whole person. Throughout this course, the beauty and humanity in the foundational principle of care for the entire person were reaffirmed in my Writing Center practices.
